Scarteen – The Black & Tans – DVD

The legendary Scarteen Black and tans have now been captured on film!  Their distinctive colour, voice and hunting country set them apart from any other pack.  Owned by the Ryan family, with written records dating back to 1640, they are hunted by the ninth generation of this family.

This film leaves the viewer in no doubt as to the sheer thrill and excitement of hunting with the Scarteen Hounds over some of the best bank and ditch country in Ireland.  Super shots of these hounds in full cry and all the action from the field of riders maintaining a tradition spanning o many generations.
